Hello Jim, This is another wonderful shot. I love the soft lighting and just the feel of it. Looks like a warm time of the year, would it be in the evening to get that lighting? Whitby looks a lovely "boat place" to me.
A big YS from me for this beautiful capture.
Best wishes from Indonesia, John
I seem to have missed so many messages here John, It can only put it down to my carelessness and dodgy eyesight. Too much time spent peering into the monitor I think.
This part of the river is most attractive John. Adjacent to my viewpoint is the local shipyard where many steel trawlers are built. One would think that this would be intrusive, but it all blends in to provide the visitor with a great perspective. If you zoom right in, it is possible to see the floating dock, and a new vessel can be seen in the boat-yard in front of the shed.
I am so pleased that you like this photo and the Y* is most generous.
Kind regards John
Thanks for the feedback Jim. As I said before I love the light on this scene. The boat building industry does not interfere with the beauty of the place.
Your eyes may be suffering too much monitor work but they do so well with the camera.
Greetings from Indonesia, John
I appreciate you kind words john

You've made a lovely image here, Jim! - I'm completely besotted by your township, thanks to your warm and loving images - when can I move in?
Suzi Trousdale~~~In my often chaotic and convoluted life, I loose track of the goings on in my gallery Suzi...Sometimes, especially during the fishing season, I disappear for weeks on end, spending countless hours at sea..then, too tired to bother, I neglect to check my mail!! Comments slip below the RADAR>>I'm taking the opportunity to clean up my act during the current abysmal state of the site! You know what Suzi... you've made my day..I really enjoy your visits ;.)
very nice view.
