La route au premier plan n'est pas la Promenade des Anglais qui ne débute qu'au delà de l'embouchure du Paillon, après les jardins Albert 1er. Il s'agit du Quai des Etats-Unis, autrefois Quai du Midi. Derrière, les Ponchettes.
