Nice picture Jessica. Are the zebras back in Alberta?? They are not yet in Quebec...

Jessica G. on July 12, 2008

I'm not surprised you haven't seen them in Quebec. When they can't have a savannah these animals typically prefer the prairie. They usually stay well south of here, but in the hottest part of summer they can be rarely seen as far north as Edmonton. I was very surprised to see a zebra at the local park, and now I'd better be careful. Where there are zebras, typically, there are also lions... ;o)

Title: Global Warming Migration

It is funny and it isn't. At first just looking at it, it looks like a nature shot. But understanding that the landscape is in Alberta makes it funny. Good one. You're way ahead of me, Jessica. Glad though that you are rethinking landscapes.

Perfect title, Chris! I understand what you mean by "it is funny and it isn't." Although I didn't even think of that meaning until the picture was done.

Fantastic job. I have a photographer in mind but I need to look 'em up.

Wild, wild Alberta! Well, then I expect a picture of a lion from you soon! But take care... :-)

Nice pictures but confusing since we are in 2013! and those pictures now have been integrated with street view for the parks. I was trying to see a park in AB and saw the pictures for Zebra and Lion. and got really confused until start chasing those pictures.
