Duma decided to make two castles: this one - Monter Cristo and the small one - If (for work as a bureau) after. He had got big money for his roman "Le comte de Monte Cristo". And he made these two castles, and lived there for about 2 years. Lot of people came to him in this castle, but the second was forbidden - |Dumas worked there, and he coudld't live without writing. He couldn't count his money, and if the people asked him for any assistance, he opened his bureau and gave the requester the banknotes he could find in his chest. With such economy he left all his money in 2 years and he was obliged to sell the buildings and the park, helas. Olga

Olga, making the grand fantastic castle Alejandro Dumas where he wrote his famous novel The Cons of Montecristo.Gracias for sharing.

With best wishes, Amparo.

No, amparo, he wrote his romans before, and made this hotle after receiving money for them. His manner of life was very large, all his money went to feed people and make many"large" things. In 1,5 year he had no money for continuing living there...

Edward! Thanks a Lot! Olga
