I'm not sure of the history of this place. It doesn't appear on any EHS lists or my uncles antiquities website. I have seen previos references to it labelling it Clare "Castle", this may only be a local thing however. I had to do a bit of trespassing to get get here, but I was fairely safe in the knowledge that any landowner was probably knocking back the Tennents in Scarva!!
