The tradition begins by throwing the holly cross in the sea (see dock photo). Then fishermen navigate their boats just outside the port of Myrina. When they return the feast is over. All people watch from the dock.
Good for shooting crowds.
This celebration/ custom occurs in WHOLE GREECE on the same day. Check also for the day before to see any religious activities depending on place.
