There are two wonderful pictures of Dunstaffnage Castle, however Goggle Earth is showing each in a separate location, and both labeled, "Dunstaffnage Castle". The Southern most location appears to near where the chapel is/was. The Northern location is where the actual castle is located.
The problem I imagine is partly because of the low resolution photographic coverage of this area and the complete lack of detail on the maps when zoomed in. Personally I always put the flag at the spot where I took the photograph and not necessarily where the object of the photograph is. This I believe is the generally accepted method of mapping photos within Panoramio.
This castle is mentioned in G. A. Henty's 1885 historical novel 'In Freedom's Cause: A Story of Wallace and Bruce', set during the Scottish Wars of Independence. Protagonist Archie Forbes (p. 204): 'There stands Dunstaffnage Castle, and the lands all belong to the MacDougalls. It is but two months back I was a prisoner there, and though I then escaped, assuredly if I again get within its wall I shall never go out again.' (The novel is available online from Project Gutenberg).
