Very nice image, well composed and excellent exposure balance.
Matthew, thank you much! As always.
I am immpressed with your observation about light balance... Thank you. Indeed, it was a challenge. Mainly because the "hall" in which this cafe is situated is way too big/tall even for my wide angle lens. Therefore, I decided to take 4 pictures at 16mm and stitch them together. (2x2) Yes, that gave me a certain advantage to expose "correctly" for all "corners" in this round building, however, it gave me a stitching nightmare! Nevertheless, the result hopefully shows the "spaciousness" of this historical cafe, which is actualy a history now. It's being modernized as we speak ... Too bad.
Thank you for your comments. Lukas
If these are 4 different pictures stitched together, you did a hell of a job! Congratulations on this beautiful picture!

Nice job Lucas!
ich muss diesen Bahnhof sehen!
Lukas, a great photo under difficult conditions (it's pretty dull up there at the top of the dome). I have tried and failed several times to adequately capture this scene. I will be there again on Saturday and will try your four corners approach - thanks for the tip.
By the way, apart from having the floor partly ripped up, nothing has changed since you took your photo in 2007.
Thank you Tam and good luck on Saturday. I am glad that the reconstruction took a gentle approach. I was back there a month ago and had the same observation like you.
very good shot
