The 5th of 6 photos (see below) of the subsidence hole that appeared on Dover's seafront promenade on Friday, July 11th, 2008.
This view was taken looking towards the Eastern Docks and shows part of the harbour.
There are 6 photos altogether (though I may add more later), taken over a period of 5 days:
1 The hole as first seen on Friday, July 11th
2 The expanded hole and partial shoring on Monday, July 14th
3 Interior of the hole on Tuesday, July 15th
4 The hole looking West on Tuesday, July 15th
5 The hole looking East on Tuesday, July 15th
6 Wide-angle view of the hole on Tuesday, July 15th
These photos are also indexed under the "Holes" tag.
Photos 1 and 2 were taken using my Samsung G800 5 Mpx camera phone, the others with a Pentax K100D DSLR.
