The 6th of 6 photos (see below) of the subsidence hole that appeared on Dover's seafront promenade on Friday, July 11th, 2008.

This wide-angle view was taken looking in a south-westerly direction.

There are 6 photos altogether (though I may add more later), taken over a period of 5 days:

1 The hole as first seen on Friday, July 11th

2 The expanded hole and partial shoring on Monday, July 14th

3 Interior of the hole on Tuesday, July 15th

4 The hole looking West on Tuesday, July 15th

5 The hole looking East on Tuesday, July 15th

6 Wide-angle view of the hole on Tuesday, July 15th

These photos are also indexed under the "Holes" tag.

Photos 1 and 2 were taken using my Samsung G800 5 Mpx camera phone, the others with a Pentax K100D DSLR.

A spokesperson for the Council said today: 'We are aware of the hole and someone is looking into it'.
