Hi Joce, the green, green grass of home has certainly grown this year, it has hardly stopped raining this summer. We were hoping to go camping last week:( no such luck. Ah! well, maybe next year. Regards, Anita

Green, green grass of home indeed. I get pangs of homesickness whenever you get out and about Anita. Your pictures capture the real essence of the English countryside.

Greetings from the ex-pat in northern California,

Hi Paul, I can understand you being homesick, my brother in South Africa feels just the same when he comes over for a holiday and sees the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and tastes the Theakstons beer:) Thanks for your comment Paul and greetings from the not so sunny U.K.

Hi David, I just managed to take a couple of shots before the rawkish weather returned. I think I'm suffering from the SAD syndrome and need one of those light boxes to cheer me up;) Anita

Luud, this Summer we have had clouds in abundance:) They do cast lovely shadows across the landscape, which I'm thankful for. Regards, Anita

One of the Yorkshire Dales great wonders. Dry Stone Walls that stretch as far as the eye can see. The men that toiled with their barehands giving the landscape a semblance of order in what can only be described as a labour of love. It is a beautiful picture Anita.

Regards.

Hi Jim, it's stunning countryside here but as I found out not the safest place to walk. We went for a hike across the far hill and tried to cross a steep slope. We followed the sheep track until it vanished, then I realised that I had bitten off more than I could chew. My fear of heights kicked in, My limbs were like jelly and I couldn't move. I burst into tears and that's not like me to be defeated :[ It was a very steep drop with boulders every where. It took quite a while before we decided to head back the way we came. So there is a lesson to be learnt! Regards, Anita
