Thanks, I started noticing these milestones on a bicycle ride from Albany to Philadelphia. Hence the 21 Miles to Albany photo from the first day of the trip. Since then I've found more, I'll go looking for them sometimes or a friend will turn me on to one, but mostly I just stumble onto them. Most of the photos are taken while I'm out on my bicycle. It seemed like something I could "collect" while out on my bike without adding any weight! If you do a web search on milestones you'll find some interesting stories

This mile marker is actually the mileage from Broad Street Station (Penna. RR) which was across from City Hall. The marker is on the Pennsy's Schuylkill Division. The stations near the marker were Betzwood (21.8) and Protectory (23.2). Data is from a CT1000 11/01/1907. Hope this is not TMI!
