Thanks to my parents, today I am finishing another orbital period around the Sun. I wanted to be an astronaut when I was a kid, but now as an electronics engineer that considers every travel involving a flight as a space mission to observe our planet from distance, this is as close as I can get to realize my childhood dream. So far so good :D

I'm glad to hear you've found a way to realize your dreams. And you get to take pictures and share the with the rest of us.
I see that you travel quite a bit here in the US. Is it you job that brings you here?

Thanks Chip. Yes, I am currently a "non resident alien worker" in the US. My work requires some traveling once while. As you can tell, I deeply appreciate for any sight seeing opportunities here in such great country. Take care, Volkan

ah-hah, neither gTranslate or I can even begin to deal with Turkish, but I can translate the 3rd-rock-speak there in the first message! Perhaps I'll remember that! ;-)

Oh yes - this is also terrific!!! I'm definitely very fond of those very far distance 3Ds! Probably since one cannot take them every here and there!

Thank you Kamaly and Sonny. You got my favorite 3D here :) I am very very happy that I was able to do this one in X-3D. Cheers, Volkan

Hello Volkan! Following Your trail in a Google-jet I took several shots of the same motive (Notom-Bullfrog Tranch in Utah USA) and made this x3D image from a bit higher viewing point but very close to Your, viewing southward, and continuing my flight in this direction after some 110 kilometers I made couple of shots for another x3D image of the Glen Canyon Dam, only there I made a wide turn and made takes toward the north.

Hi Kaygod, thanks for sharing your nice GE extract X-3Ds. As you know, all my Utah and other aerial 3Ds are shot by me mostly from passenger airplane or chopper windows. For the moment, they may be not as high resolution like in GE. But geometric resolution is much much better than what can be extracted from GE (especially in the case of low altitude ones).
Terrain in this part of the word is really amazing, I hope you'd have chance to experience it in person someday.
Take care, Volkan
