Former hospital, Wakefield, QC, Established by the Drs. Geggie who served the people of Wakefiled and surrounding area. I was born in the upstairs room.
Just a clarification: the Doctors Geggie (Harold--founder of the hospital, and sons Hans, David and Stuart--my father) did not actually live in this building. Harold purchased it from the former owner and donated it to the community as a home for the new Gatineau Memorial Hospital in 1952.
I, too, was born in the delivery room, upstairs. My father delivered me!

Dr doesn't take an S.
I assume you mean that there is no s in Drs... In this case there is because it was a family of doctors, all named Geggie. Hence the plural Drs.

Thanks, Wakefielder. I didn't see your comment until today so have edited my caption to fit your information.
I understand some great babies were born in the upstairs room. (are you a Geggie or was your father in the right place at the right time?)
