A replica of the famous Sukhothai walking Buddha. It has a broad rounded shoulder to emphasize the importance of the upper body. The left curvy hand flows elegantly with the body signify this particular unique style. It has an equally rounded waist. The tapered curvy leg has a rather small leg and out of proportion to the upper body. Despite that the whole figure is well balance because of the walking pose. The actual one is about a kilometer behind this replica. Wat Trapang, Sukhothai.
I love all Sukhothai Buddha image style because they look very happy. Do you know why the buddha image of Sukhothai period were beautiful and happy because Sukhothai period very peaceful so Artist has more time and happy to created.
Cannot wait to see new one.

I do agree with you. In time of peace and prosperity artisan had more opportunity to be creative and improved on their skill. I also notice that the Buddha face is less rounded and more natural during this period.
Wonderful capture - Greetings from Athens.
