is this road that connects Mestia and Ušguli with Caregi and Kutaisi?
Yes, it is road from Lentekhi to Ushguli.
did u managed to go all the way down through that road or u had to go back to Zugdidi?
I went from Mestia to Lentekhi, as You see road is blocked till middle of June, unaccessible for cars. But easily You may try walk or go on bike(if Your not afraid of bears).
and u were biking or goin by foot?
how long it took?
From Ushguli to Zcala about 6 hours, but remember - Zcala is usually abandoned, nearest peoples lives in Zeskho.
and in Zeško u took bus?
There is no buses, unless You rent one, but in Zeskho exist alpine camp (http://www.zeskho.ge) where tourists may find accomodation, transport, ect. "Regular" buses are in Lentekhi and Ushguli.
sorry i meant from zcala, how did u reach Lentehi from Zcala?
Supervisor od Zeskho alpine station give us a lift to Lentheki.
where to hike in svaneti region?what r highlights?
Not so many hiking trails in that area, but You can ask locals as I did. I know about one trail along the river up from Mestia, it leads to the glacier. Anywhere You go in that area it is beautiful, quite easy to climb at 3500m even around 4000m. Snow is gone in that altitude at beginning of july. Good luck!
foto ciekawe, komentarze ciekawe. Miałeś rację, na panoramio można się dowiedzieć czegoś ciekawego.
The alpine camp at Zeskho has been abandoned for a long time now lol :) I shot a Georgian soldiers' AK 47 at the buildings in June 2009 and we started a fire with the wood from the buildings.
