Great cottages, I am so envious when I see one of them! Fai

Hello again Fai, What a beautiful little hamlet this is; as you can see it is surounded by water on three sides and with a castle on the southern side it is a very well protected village! The photo is taken from a bridge which is the exit point for a traveller going north to Alnwick. Bob

Yes, it's wonderful, I didn't notice the castle behind it. Best wishes, Fai

If you zoom in to the castle Fai the main tower is high on a domed hill which, in spring, is covered in daffodils; a picturesque scene and a nice venue for a long weekend. There is a nearby main-line railway station and a few B&Bs. Bob

Its a good viewpoint Bob giving this excellent picturesque image. The cottages along 'The Butts' are easily identifiable from the map.

Warkworth surely is one of the nicest Northumberland Hamlets, and the castle is simply superb.

Cheers.

Jim

Thaks for your visit Jim. it's dificult to get this one wrong; this view-point will always produce something. I would like to re-visit and try it again in different light. I see summer is back again tonight!! cheers Bob

Cheers Bob. It is steaming today, but the inshore forecast is for strong S.Easterlys tommorow. It will be a cooler, cloudier day, but hey, it's the UK summertime weather. Jim

Thank you for voting freddie5 and Samantha. The village is very cute, it has a castle at one end of the main street and this view at the other. So, as you leave the village by which-ever route you always have a lovely scene to look back on. Is summer here at last? Bob
