another cool-looking waterfall, austin! i've been wondering what state you live in, given your widely-traveled album. i'd always thought minnesota based on your username, but i see you've also been to some atypical long-distance tourist places in my home state of pennsylvania, and near my hometown of philadelphia too. i live in new jersey suburbs of the city now.

I am in Minnesota, I've been here since the summer of 2003. I am not near Austin, MN, though - I'm in a suburb of the Twin Cities. Before that, I lived my entire (longer than I want to admit) life in the same small suburb of Boston.

I have and continue to travel extensively in the US and Canada; I'm up to 41 states. This summer may make 42.

you're almost 'finished' then :) keep on truckin'! i've seen parts of all 50 states now, hawaii was the final one, back in '07. then i went to australia and new zealand. i strongly prefer english-speaking places so i'm running low on options ;) except for the british empire...

I prefer English speaking places as well, but Iceland has a draw that I can't explain.

If you really love waterfalls, my understanding is (and Panoramio seems to bear this out) Iceland can not be beat.

Another place that is famous for smaller falls (and in number) is the upper peninsula of Michigan along Lake Superior. There are even a couple there that can only be reached from the lake.

thanks for the info about iceland! i think i would like their hot springs and geysers even more than their waterfalls :)
