Hardly "falls" but in reality its a Weir created to build a head of water to power the former Mill at Bathampton just behind and to the left of the place from which the picture was taken (probably) from the toll bridge. The sluice exit can be seen just below the derelict small metal hoist on the bank.

Thanks! I didn't know how to describe the water, but it was so pretty. Lovely swans were swimming there, and it was so peaceful. I did take photos of the mill up the road to left of the river, and will post them soon. I appreciate your input!
