Light blue below and deep blue above and mountains and wide open space between--a beautiful photo, Eve.

It also reminds me of my father's attempts to take pictures of columbine on a trip to Colorado many decades ago. He had an Argus C-3 and Kodachrome. Trying to measure the distance to the columbine swaying in the wind and trying to account for parallax ... How he would love your picture as I do! Marilyn

Thank you so much, Marilyn. That is a great complement you pay me regarding your father. I especially love the columbines in this area as they are the huge blue and white ones, which are relatively rare in western Montana. I usually see the smaller yellow, or yellow and pink species that grow near trees.

I was using a wide angle lens (10-22mm), which tends to give me great depth of field, especially in bright light. I closed the aperture as much as I could while still maintaining a very fast speed. It was hard to freeze the action as a stiff breeze was blowing. I have lots of blurry photos from that day! Thanks for visiting, Eve
