Dear Luud,

Thanks for your comment on this for it is appreciated. I had tried to photograph this church from close by, but the powerlines, poles, fences, bins and other ancillary structures were annoying. But from 500M away it was possible, then I saw this bush in bloom and its form suited the building. And I was satisfied.

I'll be interested to see what our architect friend from Uruguay, Edmundo, has to say about this design, Luud.

Greetings,

Ian

Yes Andreas, this one is for you. In fact I went a couple of times, once at night, once in the day to see if I could avoid all the obstacles, but it wasn't till I was walking around at the Methodist Conference, a block away on the other side of the Royal Tombs, that I saw this and knew the telephoto would do what I wanted.

So we have a pair of photos now, you and I. And I hope you saw some of the sad destruction of Nuku'alofa in other sets of images in the Lincluden gallery.

Kindest regards,

Ian

Dear Marilyn,

It is good when you see what you are looking for. I almost got a good one at night, but I wasn't able to hold the camera still enough for the necessary exposure. You may have noticed above that Andreas and I had communicated on this previously, hence I was prepared to seek. I found.

Regards,

Ian
