You've got to be having a ball. Is this the result of your new lens? I say architecture, and I'll leave it to the arcitects and engineers to argue that they are not synonomous anyway. The photo, IMHO, is pure art. Beautiful!
Thanks for all the comments. I'm in two minds about the building - I don't like it, but I do understand it's purpose and think that without vision, our towns and cities would all be a bit dull.
I don't have any more from the city centre, mostly from the outskirts and Stratford. I'm planning to go to the Botanical Gardens soon, so watch this space!
This is the kind of photo i wish i'd taken of selfridges. I do feel the same way about it though, don't think it looks very good at all, but it's certainly interesting to photograph.

It's a 24-120mm zoom, at 24mm. I was standing right at the base of the building, so looking almost directly upwards.
(I prefer the mono too, I like to push the contrast and sometimes the colour isn't necessary to 'make' the image.)
