Thank you, Chris and Patrick. It was such a great sunset. I didn't have to do a single thing to the photo to show the wonderful colors of that evening.

I have visited Nevada several times in the distant past Beth, and I remember that much of it is a vast open, yet dramatically beautiful region.
Desert wastes, dry arrid land, much of it seems uninhabitable.(hence the atomic weapon tests of the 60s and 70s)
Reno, Carson City, Taho, Virginia City(memorable) The memory of this journey will remain with me forever. In particular, the awsome sight of the snow capped Sierra Nevadas that almost trapped us in for the winter as the first falls of heavy snow slowed our progress.
The first time I ever saw deer hunters with their sorry prey strapped, bleeding, to the rear of their 4X4 utility truck. On route 50 I believe.
Vivid memories even now after almost 30 years, . Thanks for the jog.

Hi, Jim. Not everyone appreciates the Nevada landscape! I'm glad you saw the beauty that's here. I live in the northeastern part of the state, high desert, so it's not quite as hot and arid. It's kind of a spare type of beauty that you sometimes have to just be still and wait for. I think that what I like most about it. I'm happy to have jogged your memories. Come back again sometime! Thank you Eva and Kasia. It was a magical day from beginning to end. I hiked in the mountains, in the rain, with some friends. Later, back at home, it cleared as the sun went down. I really can't take any credit for this photo. I just grabbed my camera, ran outside, and clicked! Best wishes to both of you, Beth
