This type of bird is common in this area of the Rockies, and I've seen them around Lake Louise. Locally, they're known as "Whiskey Jacks!" They're all what you could call tame, and my grandpa has stories of one of them flying down and stealing an entire sandwich from his hand just as he was about to take a bite! I can remember several picnics in the mountains where a couple of these birds have joined us.
