Tom, although I am not knowledgeable about architecture, this church bell, reminds me of Spanish colonial buildings. Greetings from Spain. Jose Mª

Great combination of symbols, Tom. The bold simplicity of the church against the intricate clouds. Nicely executed.

I greatly appreciate all of your comments Eva, Daniel, Jose Mª, Epi, Aender, Tom, Marilyn, Hank and Michele. It is a favorite image of our trip to Arizona. :)

This church was constructed from 1931 to 1933 of 6,000 adobe bricks by local Mexican families. It is currently in a restoration phase with a goal to return the mission to a center of quiet and reflection for locals and tourists. The work is being carried out by the parishioners of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish.

Jose Mª - The Spanish influence in this area is everywhere. Particularly in this structure. :)

Michele - Funny you mention Zorro because that was my thought at the time as well. :)

Best regards to all from the USA, Tom

Glorious shot Tom: lovely simple lines, beautiful contrasting colours and the cross against the clouds is perfection....

Best Regards,

Séan.

Very much appreciated Séan. Wasn't sure at the time that I had captured the feeling I had looking at this impressive structure. Because of the harsh mid-day sun the shadowed side held the most detail. So risking a blown out sky I shot this one. Think it turned out OK. Cheers :)

All the best, Tom
