北京海特花园,上风上水,是北京石景山区最成熟的大型居住区之一。离苹果园地铁终点站和八大处公园5-6分钟车程。

I lived in Haite Gardens for about 18 months. It was a company apartment and part of my employment deal. I was teaching english to a Hi-Tec company. Well what to say? It's basic, lots and lots of noisy kids (and parents who never converse just bellow at each other). Its a long way from any western amenities but there is a gem across the road from the Haite hotel, tucked in a side street directly across from the Haite hotel is a great an very friendly coffee-shop/bar staffed by great young girls and controlled by a great owner (named Happy). They are very happy to meet and entertain foreigners. Try it out if you ever find yourself here. I had a good life there, once they get used to a foreıgner being a fixture and not a visitor they open up. Communication is a bugger if like me you dont speak Chinese but necessity finds a way. The bar waitresses helped a lot. My regards to Celeste, Happy, Poppy, Julie, Jackie and all the gang. Don't forget tsingtao should be COLD, Its the coffee that should be HOT, not the other way round. Love to all Tony
