Wonderful colors, Ian. I like the title a lot :)) Liviu
Thank you Liviu. I had not seen this combination of colours in an orchid before.
This orchid is great, Yan! Wonderful, bright colours and original combination!
Dear Yan, really there is a snow in Sidney?!
Best wishes. Eva
I did not see the snow, or the hail or the sleet whatever it was but it fell in two different parts of the city, I am told. It certainly was cold enough. I have been here 14 years and there has never been snow here before, though in the higher country not far away, snow falls about once every five winters.
Today was sunny and mild, thankfully.
You have a remarkable news service for Australia seems to regularly be on your news, Eva. Here we only ever hear of Kiev when a Chernobyl disaster happens.
And I would prefer the colourful orchids to be blooming in the garden rather than having snowy conditions making things unpleasant.
Warm (as warm as around the fireplace) greetings from Sydney,
This orchid is wonderful! Is in nursery only at us
Thanks for your response, Elemér. This orchid was growing in an open garden.
I am preparing to fly to Indonesia in a few hours, so I will be away for 3 weeks. I'll be back to see your new pictures and with some from my Indonesian work.
Very beautiful flower and excellent photo Ian ! Kindest regards, Tamás
Very beautiful composition and beautiful conjuntode flowers. Congratulations of Antonio, from Spain.
A very nice combination this beautiful coloured orchid in contrast with the pastel backround. Very well done Ian!! Greetings Luud
Hi Luud, Antonio, Tamás and Raz,
In returning to Panoramio after my absence in Indonesia for a while, it is really very special to receive responses from Netherlands, Spain, Hungary and Malaysia! It is a great network of friends that we have built together. Thanks for your thoughts, assessments and affirmations.
Welcome back, Ian!
...das waren aber sehr kurze "3 Wochen," Ian, und 'kühl' (unter 10 C Grad nachts) ist es inzwischen bei uns auch schon wieder... "Summer's Over!
But what a life you live, Ian: summer in Bavaria and winter in Texas.
Ah but summer's coming, here. All our bulbs are blooming profusely, especially the perfumed frisias, so now the wattles fill the air and frisias dress the ground and the pruned roses are sprouting.
And I have had my fill of 3 Wochen at latitude 5S. Makassar is such a hot city!
Maravilhoso, parabéns!!! Abraço desde Brasil.
Thank you, Flavio. Best wishes,
