Buoy, Oh Buoy! It is just like the movie Home Alone, the whole family has left to go on vacation and you were left behind.

Here is a picture of the family playing in the snow in Québec City.

Greetings From Quebec

Personnally I prefer your climate.

davidcmc58 on August 1, 2009

Yves, with the weather like this I rather stay home alone and let the rest of the family play in the cold snow! Best regards from the sunny California, David

Roberto Lo Savio on April 4, 2010

What's that red...thing? It's something floating when the high tide arrives?

davidcmc58 on April 5, 2010

Roberto Lo Savio, yes. It is a floating buoy that can float when water is high. But it should not be there. It was probably washed ashore. Thank you very much for your visit. David

This may be a good shot of a washed up buoy, but it is NOT a photo of the incredibly beautiful park. Fitzgeral Park is probably the ONLY really naturally beautiful untouched site on the entire coast. This looks like a junk yard beach. Post cards of the real park are sold done by a really great photographer.

MONDOCAT, thank you for your input regarding this photo. I would like to point out that this place is one of my favorite beaches anywhere in California. The rich marine life that one can see along those tide pools is simply amazing. I have been there many times during our "young family days". I simply do not see this picture as degrading to the beautiful beach. The kelp on the beach is all natural and pristine and the rock and sand are very clean in the picture as well. I took the picture of the buoy as it is unique and colorful and you can see that many people like this shot and gave it over 1100 views. I am not a professional photographer and I am not interested in selling post cards. I took this picture because I love this place and I thought the washed up buoy looked cool. Best regards, David

Wow, I guess this happened shortly after I moved - kicking and screaming - from Half Moon Bay. (Insert crying icon here.) It would surely have been in the HMB Review! Like! :D
