The Welsh National Folk Museum has collected taditional Welsh buildings from across Wales and rebuilt them at the St Fagans site as a village/living museum. Each is furnished to represent a period in its original life. These Turnpike Tollhouses suffered at the hands of the Rebecca Rioters in the 19th Century
