"The Minuteman" by Henry Hudson Kitson was erected on the grounds of Washington's Headquarters State Historic Site on November 11, 1924. The same artist sculpted a similar statue at Lexington, MA. The Lexington "Minuteman" has no hat and is wearing boots instead of shoes.
