Thanks for the tip, William. The stairs were a problem with our heavy touring bikes but we made it and saved a long detour.

Hi Brian, I'm really glad that you found the way. We had hired (pretty awful) bikes from Narbonne and thought that we were going to have to turn round early in the day. Then I saw someone walking across and we thought we'd try it.
