Now I returned and gave a yellow star for this shot, I would like to see it many times :-) later!

How did you like this place? It seems to be a wonder with so many palm trees...

Is the sea clear here or not really?

Cheers, Reni

Yes, it's a really stunning place. I spend here all my vacations from many years. Tere are a lot of palm trees - even on the beach! - with flowered oleanders and other mediterranean plants. The sea is clear enough, not so deep (like the northen adriatic see usually) and the beach is very large and really total sandy. The prices are honest and, if you like italian food, this is the right place. At last, the interland is really nice with hilly olive trees and hilly vineyards looking the see, amongst medieval towns (it looks like Tuscany!!). P.m. I'm not a tourist promoter (be sure), but I really like the place. All the best. Gianni

Many-many thanks for the useful information, Gianni!! We love palms and sandy beaches very much, that's why we are thinking of visiting San Benedetto.

We have two plans for summer, this is version 'A' :-) I hope, we'll be able to see this area!

Can I have one more question? Can we enter the beach free in San Benedetto? We spent a holiday in Loano, in Liguria a few years ago and there were only private beaches. We only found public beaches in another village.

Thanks a lot for your kind help!

Greetings,

Reni

Yea. There're al lot of free beaches of large size with public services and a very nice sea promenade (with bike and skate reserved track). See my other shots (for istance n. 12672591 shows a park near a free beach). I was too in Loano for my past vacation. It's a nice town in Liguria but the sea is different and the seashore is not comparable. If you like sandy beaches this is place for you :-). Greetings and have a nice vacation. Gianni

That sounds good! :-))

Thank you for the answer, Gianni.

This year we travelled to Austria and to Croatia. But now we are thinking of next summer already :-) and I'm here again, checking beautiful San Benedetto del Tronto pictures.

I LOVE this shot. I don't understand why others did not find it, yet! I clicked on the "Best of Panoramio"!

Cheers,

Reni
