North Western Hotel (1871), Lime Street, Liverpool
I imagine that originally the interior was all in the same sumptious Louis XV Rococco style of the exterior - lots of gold leaf, brocade upholstery and mirrors. I doubt if the students of John Moore's University that I understand the building now houses enjoy quite the same luxury in their room furnishings!
Students! there aren't many students who's 'Digs' are in buildings of this type, I just hope they aren't causing much damage! When I was a student nurse many years ago my room was an absolute tip! And the chip pan caused many fire alerts! (not by me, I might add! I was too tired to cook most of the time!)
Thanks for your comments and smiles, Eva. Quite a contrast between the architectural grandeur of C19th Liverpool and the natural beauty of animals and flowers that you capture so imaginatively. So by way of maintaining the balance I'm sending you a red rose from Oxford Warm regards, John

Lovely building, I wonder if the interior has the same style as the exterior!
