I agree! It is the No. 1 landmark and attraction in Taiwan. The bottom is connected to a giant 5 story shopping mall. The "round with square center" decorations on four sides take on the shape of ancient Chinese coins which symbolize prosperity. Other side trims also symbolize harmony and good luck. It also boasts the world's fastest elevators with advanced pressure adjustment.
Great photo davidcmc58: I also want to provide information in this magnificent building that I have it in my pictures. This giant was shaking the world of architecture, engineering and construction: fiber optic networks in a gigabit of the interior of the building, elevators Toshiba fastest in the world and a regulator called mass damper of 800 tons by hanging cables from the last floor serves to avoid the structural collapse in front of high winds, earthquakes and hurricanes. The computer-operated hydraulic arms permanently moving to the convenience damper. But this giant not only doing this to shake the scene of the AEC (architecture, engineering and construction), but according to the geologist Cheng HORNG Lin, of National Taiwan Normal University, will also be doing the quake area in Taiwan as it is located on a geological fault. Two earthquakes of 3.8 and 3.2 degrees on the Richter scale in October 2004 and March 2005 had its epicenter just below the building. Greetings.
Thanks for all the technical details about this wonderful building. I also have two photos for the views from the observation deck. You can check them out under my "Taiwan" tag. David
