The lamp posts at the end of of the canaltowards the sea...why do people lock their padlocks on the chain around these two light posts? Molto curioso. Lavoro in Monfalcone e habito in Mesa Arizona. Ciao Larry. Concerning the padlocks, it is a new trend: lovers put a padlock (on a light post, or something similar) that should represent their "locked" love. I think it origined in Rome.
