These colorful fronts are the western three of the four little row stores on the northern side of Little River Turnpike at its junction with Annandale Road. Many of these early to mid Twentieth Century buildings have been destroyed. They are sitting on land too valuable for such, though perhaps the economic slowdown will help save some. They are being replaced by larger strip developments and, in some areas, high rise buildings. I am making an effort to capture images of some that I've long known before they are gone.
This is an area of great cultural diversity now. There is a heavy mix of Asian and Latin American businesses in the area. I particularly enjoy the food markets and small restaurants, though my favorites are elsewhere.
