The SooLine sign on this caboose was painted by Donald E Leese of Mercer WI. His Father, Charles P Leese Sr, worked for SantaFe and invented the first spring suspension for rail cars. The rail car suspension used on today's rail cars are enhaned versions of Charles P Leese Sr's invention and have a striking resembance to the initial version. Sincerly, Charles P Leese II
