Well, this is the end of a perfect day, Near the end of a journey, too; But it leaves a thought that is big and strong, With a wish that is kind and true. For mem'ry has painted this perfect day With colors that never fade, And we find at the end of a perfect day The soul of a friend we've made.

They aren't my words, Mike. A had an old record by a soprano called Rosa Ponselle with included a song called "A Perfect Day". My mother told me it used to be my Grandmother's favourite.

The reason I used it here was because I had bought an old camera on ebay and after two photo expeditions, I convinced myself I had bought a wrong'un. Then we went to Cresswell one day and I started messing with the settings. The difference was astounding! I had a new friend!

Not very romantic, eh? =)

A most scientific explanation, bgut what makes you sure that the old camera did not CHOOSE YOU?? , because it has certainly "found a freind" alright.

the world is an amazing place where incidents and accvidents happen with no aparrent meaning.

Got wet today, took the trike down the road, only out 5 mins. before it rained!

Winter must be on its way!

It has a new friend now. :(

With ebay dabbling I ended up with 5 cameras and my dear lady "encouraged" me to sell three, as we only need one each.

I have been in the house for three days now due to catching the dreaded Novo Virus that is going around.

This is a beautiful picture. Winter is on it's way though. The leaves are starting to turn so we may have snow in a couple of week's, or maybe tomorrow.

Hi Keith, I was almost run down by a 434 today! well I was on the footpath, the bus was on the road! missed me by 4 yards!

Guess you were not driving it, cos it was 1415 hrs, just oota KilI jiust got an Olympus sp 560, learning to fly it is fairly easy, BUT THE SOFTWARE is a nightmare! it will take me a while to understand it..

So. your photographs, mate....I am going to use your picture quality as my target, should I get fairly near the Bullseye, I will be a nappy man!

Mary Alice and Marilin both advised me to get Canon, as did junebug and jayzoe, but my meagre pension would not stretch!! Your recent photos show fine definition, colour and form, on some of the beach pics, I can feel the wind, theyre that good, Very well done.

I' slowly progressing with the painting of the Newsham farm, but cannot get the brick to look as good as the real thing, Hey-ho!

Reet, aam off noo te get me tea sorted, catch you later,

Hi Mike. If I remember correctly Marilyn uses an Olympus SP similar to your choice, so you are in good company. To be honest, you should get good results from the latest cameras by any of the major companies and Olympus are sitting up at the top table with Canon, Nikon etc.

I am honoured that you see my pictures as having that quality. Many thanks.

Very nice Keith. Opening it up to full screen is very impressive. I like the people in the image which give it a more personal feel. Best regards, Larry

Great lines Skida, the wispy grass accentuates the curve of the beach wonderfully. And my two favorite things; photos and pics.

Many thanks Bryan. This trip resulted in quite a few "keepers". The light was just great.
