Just west of Chesterfield Center, off Rt. 143, turn south on Ireland St, then right at the green Trustees of the Reservations sign. For more info, check The Trustees of the Reservations

I really like this picture. We just moved out of southern New England. Wish we had checked this place out before!

Thank you -- glad you enjoyed it. Do you get fall color there, the way you did in New England? It's been a beautiful fall this year -- the leaves stayed on the trees much later than usual. I just took this one yesterday -- the last weekend of October. This is more like the first of October most years.

I think fall is late for every one this year. It certainly is for us in the Blue Ridge. The color here is lovely 'in pockets' but not all over depending on the trees that are there. Plus the drought has really impacted the color this year. Farther west in the Alleghenies there are more sugar maples so the color resembles New England in many ways. If you live in southern New England, have you ever been to Bash Bish Falls in Massachusetts? It is a lovely place though a little difficult to find. You can find info on the net. Bruce

Yes, I have been to Bash Bish Falls down in the SW corner of MA, and almost crossing into NY -- and you are right, it is a beautiful place! It's been ten years, though, so I have no digital photos. Definitely worth a another trip -- thanks for the suggestion.
We had a dry spell here, but it seems as if we are currently being spared some of the worst weather. Best of luck to you with your water woes!

Thanks Penny. We had a good dose of rain last week but still need more to make up the double digit deficit. Hopefully we will have a snowy winter! Bruce

Alright, so maybe this one is my favorite. I could spend hours there and not want for anything.

Thank you, Lynette. I see you have been roaming Panoramio and leaving kind comments sprinkled in your trail. Thank you for leading me to some wonderful photos and photographers that I had missed. You have a good eye -- will we be seeing some of your own photos soon? Greetings from Massachusetts -- Penny

Yes, I will be posting some from New York, New Orleans, Maryland, Vietnam, and Florida. Thanks for the inspiration. Lightning struck our house and blew out our computers so I'm trying to play catch up now.

We had a power surge blow out our router recently - amazing how dependent we are on our internet connection, isn't it?
I'm eager to see your photos, Lynette -- I hope you'll let me know when you have some posted.
