One day after New Years' Eve Party

I remember exactly this tree (I have seen last year), but our guide told us that this strange shape was caused by a plant disease. Who is right ? Hi Aldo :)

Thanks, Vkalathil. I was told it started growing like this after being struck by lightning. As you can see in Aldo's comment on the picture, the reason is sometimes explained differently. Anyway, I'm glad you like it and thanks for your comment. Cheers, Christophe

I think lightning will burn the tree not twist it. It some kind of disease or or or or God knows better.

You might be right raghib90. Aldo Ferretto (see first comment on the picture) also explained me that his guide explained it as the result of a plant disease. Indeed God might know ;-). Thank you very much for your comment.

Aha, zie je wel dat ze dat bliksemverhaaltje vertellen aan toeristen. Er zijn er heel wat geweest aan wie ze verteld hebben dat het om een ziekte zou gaan. In alle geval een heel fotogeniek boomke ;-). Bedankt voor je berichtje, indri.
