This piece of art is called 'la colonne brisé' ('the broken column'). It is located at the rest area 'laire des Suchères' on the A 72 (E 70) between Saint-Etienne and Clermont-Ferrand in direction Clermont-Ferrand between exits 34 Noirétable and 33 Thiers-Est.

It was created by Anne and Patrick Poirier and looks like a huge fallen down roman column.
