Nice B-n-P, and a little piece of jasper in there too. Rock crab maybe, but he can't wait for "new wave".

thanks, Lucky and Guy! he was a tiny little punk, so that's for sure, guy. I've got another where he's backed up into a rock 'hiding'. Guy - which one's the jasper? nice thing about the 'beaches' out on the Boston harbor islands, and up at the end of Plum Island: they're eroding glacial drumlins, so a total mix of everything the glaciers plowed over spills out. Yesterday walking the beach and picking out the cool rocks, we were trying to figure out all the different types of stones. Nice to have things that aren't just all granite. Found some obsidian-like ones, but never any agates. After finding out how they glow, now I desperately want some!)

thanks for the info, guy! can you believe it: I hadn't even noticed the red stones! Since the crab was only about an inch in size, they were really pebbles, but would certainly have been worth picking up and adding to the collection on the mantle!.
