Awwww .... !! But where's Thumper?
Nawitka! Are you back now? I saw you commented on the daisy earlier But I'm just getting to things now.
Is Thumper the Mom? She and a pal were by my truck with Brutus while I played with this one, a picture of the whole thing would have been great
Seems to me that the place you are living is full of beautiful, rare and unexpected things. Here in Greece you would never imagine to meet a deer... or a bear....!!! [I don't complain though, we have differenet beauties to enjoy].
nice one, guy! and it looks sooo tiny! just how how tall was it? compared to the grass and the leaves it looks like maybe 2' tops!
You got yourself a great shot there, Guy! Yellow star. Jean in NC
Thanks effie, B-n-P and Jean. 2ft is about right B-n-P, I've been seeing it since it was a baby but never got a clear shot, as you can see on the map it lives in my neighborhood with the baby bear.
Hi, yes, I'm back. Off again tomorrow to Powell River. Thumper was the little rabbit friend of Bambi. I haven't seen my daisy yet, still have to copy a couple more 2MB disks onto my computer ... plus working of course.
Do you have the midget race of Vancouver Island deer up there? They seem about half the size of regular white-tails. Indeed, a gold star for this, so I can show all the little girls in the neighborhood.
Thanks Nawitka. A friend of mine was there also and got this cute shot.
And good call, our deer are a subspecies of mule deer,(the V.I. kind), and they are much smaller than their mainland cousins. Guy.
Guy, we all have different things to photograph from our countries, but I really do think that you seem to be so close to all these wonderful subjects. This is such a lovely photo of a very cute specimen. Dianne
You are right Dianne, most of my pics are taken just minutes from here, I'm quite licky that way. Guy.
I'm going to behave myself and just say I advise checking your spelling ;)
Oh, both you and the deer go for the salt, huh? you scatter the blocks around the property? attracts those cute deer, and it must help with the slug problem, too! (doubt you want to be too licky with them, though!)
Very charming baby Guy!!
Thank you, Kostas, but I think it's mother deserves most of the credit. Guy.
Cute little Animal, Good photo,,,,YS...Cheers...GHISLAIN.
Thanks Ghislain, this is my neighborhood. Guy.
