Santa Maria sopra Minerva church, Rome. With the construction having started in 1280, this is the only church in Rome that have kept the most of its Gothic interior intact (some alterations were made in the course of the 19th-century Neo-Gothic restoration), although the façade is Renaissance-styled. The sculpture of an elephant in front of the church is by Gian Lorenzo Bernini while the Egyptian obelisk on top of it dates back to the 6th century BC [August 12, 2013].
