Hi, David, in fact this bit of snow is still called a glacier on the maps, but it is about to vanish due to climate warming. I posted this one for Hartl to show him how the glacier is melting. He lost a friend many years ago in an accident on this glacier. The road up there is not very easy. I went up to the hostel in a former holiday (the little white spot under the left summit where the forest ends), but I´m not an experienced climber who can reach the top.
