Greetings Simona, (Beautiful Name), The Japanese style is very beautiful and colorful in many temples and shrines. There are many small pieces that make up the whole. Some of the settings for these temples and shrines are spectacular. Thanks so much for visiting.

Cheers,

Rich

Greetings Simona, Billy and Andreas, Thanks so much for visiting and commenting. I am glad you like the new photos.

Simona - The buildings in the temples are similar across Japan. There are subtle but beautiful differences made by the local craftsmen who built the temples. Glad you like the color and beauty.

Billy - Thanks for standing by me in my absence. I hope I can find time to stay with my friends after this crazy spring and summer. Hardly time to catch a breath. Glad you like the photos and I will try to keep adding them from the trip.

Andreas - Like I was talking to Simona about, the temples are the same, but much different in the detail and location which makes them all the more impressive. I am glad you like them.

Thanks again to all.

Cheers,

Rich

Greetings Kat and FYP, Thanks for visiting and commenting. Pagodas don't appear at all shrines or temples. Some are very beautiful like this one and some are very ancient and look ready to fall in on themselves.

Cheers,

Rich

Greetings Billy, Thanks for visiting Japan and the wonderful comment. The pagodas were typically the most ornate structures we saw at the shrines and temples. The color combinations and designs in the painting were always very beautiful. I am glad you like this one.

Cheers,

Rich
