Probably beautiful there was house earlier! Nice foto!
Thank you, Vyacheslav, for visiting. I think this must have been a lovely farm long ago. Now the wooden silos are very unusual, rare relics.
What a beautiful and rare capture, Marilyn! I've never seen wooden silos before. Too bad that these old beautiful buildings have been abandoned! Greetings, Anne
The shadows are crisp and create the form beautifully.
Thank you, Anne and Hank. Wooden silos are rare here, too, Anne; not many have survived the years. I understand that this farm (where I've photographed several buildings) has recently been purchased. I hope the new owners will preserve at least part of this deteriorating beauty.
I liked the way the wild grape echoed the curve of that one loose slat!
So here I was telling my kids and grandson about there Grandfather's (and great-grandfather) life was on the farm. I recounted as many of the stories as i could recall and shared my memories of being there as well. As we talked I decided to try to show them a satelite view so I proceeded to google earth and was amazed to see the very buildings I remember in your photos. Thank you! Since the passing of my grandparents the farm is idle and I expect will soon be sold. You have preserved wonderful views of those structures for us. Again, Thanks!
Rick, I'm very glad that you found the pictures and delighted that you took the time to tell me about finding it. I was already sure that the farm must be full of memories.
Since you found the photo through the satellite image, you won't have seen the one almost-interior photo that I have. (For the most part, they don't put interior photos on Google Earth.) And you may not want to see it, but I happen to be very pleased with how it turned out - very atmospheric. You can judge for yourself if you click here.
