what a waste are they going to smoke them ungutted ,kill the hunger of many yeah if they have the money to pay for them.where is the conservation someone has wiped out a whole area of fish.they will not recover those full bellies won't eat fish for a long time or the less they get the more it is going to cost to bye.thats why they go hungry they over fish or over harvest you are dreaming if this is a good photo.it's a photo of Greed
I understand your concern but you should know that these traditional fisheries is not the main problem of these lakes in Africa.
The big environmental problem comes when some people introduced species in the lake, how the Nile Perch, for export and satisfy the "hunger" of the prime world getting great benefits in return.
These species, by its large size, consume and devastate an ecosystem so special how these lakes, and make that fishermen ever having more trouble to finding small fish, how the picture.
There's a very interesting documentary about this subject, is called "Darwin's Nightmare - Hubert Sauper" I recommend that you see before making allegations without any sense.
Or, maybe you don't eat fish?
