You have excelled yourself! This is stunning!
You are the first one to respond Paula and I'm really glad you like it. I was'nt sure if it was worth posting.
Taken from my boat, it is an unusual viewpoint. The river depth here is very shallow in places, so I was lucky to get this. Thanks for your kind appraisal Paula.---Jim

Greetings Pom, it is quite ironic that my mistake gets nice comments. It was my intention to capture a perfect reflection. Ah well :D
There are some amazing facts stored in the archives regarding this masterpiece in brickwork Fai. Two and a half million bricks from the kilns at Grosmont (home of the NYMR) were used.
That sounds like a good idea Steve. I shall crop it and post the result in a week or two.
I am becoming quite fond of B+W images Mark. Inspired as I am by the superb work of 2c
I always appreciate your input Billy and I value your opinion very much.

I'll dream a dream or two .... nice B & W Jim, I'm glad you didn't wreck the keel of your boat - you might have dropped your camera and we wouldn't have been able to see this one ;-)
Greetings picture fan and Amelia, I'm glad you both dropped in ;>)
I wonder how many such similar structures exist through out this kingdom of ours, unused, neglected and ignored.
It is an indictment on the idiotic thinking of politicians past, who had little idea of disasterous impact the closing of our railways has had on so many communities. I am very fond of rail travel!!
Many thanks for your favourable comments and friendly visit ;>)
Greatful composition and spledid shoot. Good work Jim.

Of course , I am delighted to read your lovely comment and your more than generous evaluation is a great honour ;.)
Asymmetric shapes tend to benefit from harsh adjustments in monochrome!! I really enjoy screwing all the parameters til they scream!!
If you enjoy good B+W photography, then I can suggest a very good site JUST HERE
Kind regards Suzi ;.)
