nice summer storm overnight...

Nice shot :) So whats the best strategy to capture lightning? Set the camera on continuous and keep shooting till you caught it?

Figure out where it's likely to strike, having a storm front coming in makes it much easier... I set my fStop as high as it'll go so my focus is dead on, even if it's a bit 'off'... since tryin to focus at night is a nightmare... then use a 30 sec shutter, or bulb, if you have a cable release, which I highly recommend as it totally negates the possibility of camera shake (although at night a bit of shake will not be recorded due to low light). and yea, shoot shoot shoot. This one was one shot out of about 40. Most catch none, some catch some, and sometimes you get lucky.
